Our process

Intake

  • Review of enrollment form

  • Introductory call to gain more information on your child’s needs

  • If we can provide you the support you are looking for, we will obtain authorization from your insurance provider to move forward with the assessment

  • If we cannot provide you the support you are looking for, we will recommend other options that may be a better fit

Assessment

  • This stage typically involves review of your child’s intake form and any relevant medical records, parent/caregiver interviews, rating scales/forms, observation of you child, and direct testing of skills

  • Information gathered during the assessment provides information that will be used to develop the treatment plan

Treatment

Plan

  • This is the document that will guide your child’s ABA treatment process

  • It typically covers medical history, current functioning levels, assessment results, treatment goals, and overall treatment recommendations (for example, number of hours of service)

  • The treatment plan is sent to funding agencies (e.g., insurance provider) for approval

Parent

Training

The BCBA meets with parents and/or caregivers on a regular basis to provide guidance in using ABA principles to meet treatment goals

Ongoing

Care,

Monitoring,

and

Supervision

  • The Behavior Technician provides ongoing direct ABA services according to your child’s approved number of hours and weekly schedule by implementing and recording data on the treatment plan

  • The BCBA provides ongoing supervision to the BT, monitors progress by reviewing the data, and meets with parents and/or caregivers on a regular basis to provide support

Transition

This is the final phase of services. While we never like goodbyes, our goal is not for you to need our support indefinitely. We want all parents, caregivers, family members, and any other stakeholder in our patient’s life to be able to eventually continue the plan successfully without our help. Specific criteria are determined at the beginning of treatment in order to fade out and discontinue services.
